Their story began at Bato Fire Station, where two very different personalities were brought together by fate. Though they were in the same batch during BFP ROP Training, they never really noticed each other—until they were assigned to the same station on September 10, 2019. She was cheerful and full of laughter; he was quiet, reserved, and a little mysterious. At first, they were just colleagues, going about their duties, unaware that something special was already unfolding.

Unknown to him, she had a quiet crush on him. She kept it from him, thinking it would eventually fade. And when the pandemic came – bringing community quarantine and checkpoint duties – she decided to move on from those unspoken feelings. Ironically, it was during those challenging times that they began to grow closer. As he was among those who had to stay at the station, their late-night conversations became more frequent and more meaningful. Slowly, a bond was formed—built on shared stories, small smiles, and quiet understanding.

Before he went home after the lockdown was lifted, he surprised her with a gentle kiss on the nose—unexpected, but unforgettable. During his off-duty, he stayed in touch through chats and video calls, as if distance couldn’t dim the growing connection between them. And on the 16th of June 2020, they officially became a couple – marking the beginning of a love story not just on attraction, but on friendship, trust, and shared moments. 

Though their time together was often limited due to duty schedules, they made the most of it. Whether through spontaneous food trips, fun rides, or short travels whenever possible, they found joy in life’s simplest moments, side by side. Every shared memory deepened their bond and strengthened their love.

Then came June 21, 2024—a day she thought was a birthday lunch surprise for his brother. But as the hours unfolded at scenic Sumlang Lake in Albay, the surprise turned out to be something far more unforgettable. With both families present—what touched her most was that her own family had traveled all the way from the island without her even knowing—he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever with him. With the lake as their witness and love in their hearts, they stepped into a new chapter of their journey.

Now, hand in hand, they’re taking the next step—ready to begin a life together still full of warmth, still quietly strong, and still very much in love.
